Teaching Approach

My teaching approach is student-centred, structured, and personalised. I believe that effective teaching begins with understanding the student—not simply following the textbook or syllabus.I start by assessing the student's current level of knowledge, identifying areas of strength and pinpointing gaps in their understanding. If a student struggles with fundamental concepts, I focus first on strengthening those foundations before progressing to more advanced topics. This helps students develop a solid conceptual understanding rather than relying on memorisation.During lessons, I explain concepts in a clear, logical, and step-by-step manner, using examples that help students understand how and why a particular method works. I encourage students to participate actively, ask questions, explain their reasoning, and attempt problems independently rather than simply watching me solve them.For examination preparation, I place particular emphasis on past papers, exam-style questions, and application-based practice. Students learn how to approach different question types, structure their solutions, manage their time, identify common mistakes, and apply concepts under examination conditions.I also adapt my teaching pace and techniques according to each student's individual needs. Some students may require additional conceptual explanation, while others may benefit more from intensive problem-solving and exam practice. My aim is therefore not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop their conceptual understanding, problem-solving ability, confidence, and independent learning skills.Ultimately, I want my students to reach a stage where they are able to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence and understand the reasoning behind their answers—not simply remember a formula or procedure.
