CHASETUTOR ACADEMIC READINESS PROGRAMME

Is Your Child Ready for What the Next Academic Year Will Bring?

Specialised online tutoring for IGCSE, GCSE, AS and A level student

Moving into a new academic year often means more challenging topics, unfamiliar concepts, and higher expectations. When students begin without the right preparation, they may spend the first few months trying to catch up rather than moving forward with confidence.

Programme Overview

The ChaseTutor Academic Readiness Programme is designed to prepare students for the academic year ahead—not simply revise what they have already learned. Every student begins with a Free Online Self-Assessment to identify learning gaps, assess their current understanding, and determine the subjects where support is needed most.

Based on these insights, we create a personalised learning plan with 30 one-to-one online sessions across up to three priority subjects. Throughout the programme, students strengthen essential foundations, close learning gaps, develop exam techniques, improve structured writing skills, and become familiar with the concepts and expectations of their next academic year.

The programme is designed to be completed before September, ensuring students begin the new academic year confident, well-prepared, and ready to succeed from the very first day.

What Will You Work On?

Every student’s programme is personalised around their current understanding, learning needs, priority subjects, and upcoming academic level.

Closing Learning Gaps

Identify and strengthen areas of weakness from previous learning before they become barriers to future academic progress.

Develop a clearer and deeper understanding of the core concepts needed for continued academic progress.

Support the transition to more advanced content, greater independence, and the changing academic expectations of the year ahead.

Improve question interpretation, answer structure, time management, and approaches to different exam question types.

Gain early exposure to selected concepts, skills, and academic expectations from the upcoming academic level.

Complete a final assessment to compare performance with the starting point, identify improvement, and highlight areas for continued development.

How Does Program Work?

Free Online Self-Assessment & Performance Snapshot

Students begin by completing the Free Online Self-Assessment in as many available subjects as they wish. Their results are then reviewed to prepare a Performance Snapshot, providing a clear overview of their current performance and helping identify the subjects and areas that may require greater attention.

Select Up to 3 Priority Subjects

Based on the Performance Snapshot and plans for the upcoming academic year, students select up to three priority subjects. These may include subjects with identified learning gaps, subjects that will become more demanding at the next academic level, or new subjects the student plans to study.

Expert Diagnostic Sessions & Personalised Learning Roadmap

Each priority subject begins with a one-to-one Diagnostic Session with a Subject Specialist. This allows us to look beyond the initial assessment and gain a deeper understanding of the student’s knowledge, learning gaps, academic skills, and areas for development.
Using insights from the Self-Assessment and Diagnostic Sessions, a Personalised Learning Roadmap is then developed to guide the student’s preparation for the academic year ahead.

30 Targeted One-to-One Sessions & Final Readiness Report

Students complete 30 personalised one-to-one sessions across their priority subjects. Sessions focus on closing learning gaps, strengthening essential foundations, developing exam technique and structured responses, and preparing for the concepts, skills, and academic expectations of the year ahead.
At the end of the programme, progress is measured against the student’s starting point, and a Readiness report provides a clear overview of improvement, current readiness, and areas for continued development.
